Voice in a few lines.
Describe how you sound in three to five plain statements, each with a short example. “Warm but direct: we say what a product does before what it feels like.” Abstract adjectives on their own give an AI very little to work with.
Words to use and avoid.
- Your names for products, services and features
- Words you never use, and what to say instead
- Spelling, capitalisation and formatting rules
Claims and facts.
List the claims you can never make (health benefits, guarantees, comparisons you cannot back up) and the facts that must always be right: prices, policies, opening hours, delivery times. Point to where the current version of each fact lives.
Good and bad examples.
Two or three short pieces you love and one you would never publish teach more than a page of rules. Mark what makes each one right or wrong.

No, but it makes drafts much closer to right, and it gives reviewers a clear standard to check against.
